May 9, 2024 - JLPay has successfully completed the onboarding process with Mastercard NetsUnion Information Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Mastercard NetsUnion). Following the official launch of Mastercard NetsUnion, JLPay will provide domestic merchants with payment acceptance services for the new "China Mastercard" card products.

On November 19, 2023, the People's Bank of China announced that it, along with the National Financial Regulatory Administration, approved the application for the establishment of a card payment clearing institution submitted by Mastercard NetsUnion on November 17, 2023. Mastercard NetsUnion has since received its card clearing business license.

Mastercard NetsUnion is a joint venture initiated between Mastercard and NetsUnion Clearing Corporation, authorized to issue and accept "Mastercard" branded cards within China.
