From September 3 to 7, 2021, the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held in Beijing. Several innovative applications of digital yuan produced by XGD were also showcased at this prestigious event.
The Service Trade Fair is the world's first and currently the largest comprehensive exhibition in the field of trade in services. It is also one of China's three major platforms for open international cooperation.
The 2021 Service Trade Fair was held in a dual venue format at the National Conference Center and Shougang Park, with the financial services exhibition area situated at the Shougang sub-venue.
At this year's Service Trade Fair, the digital yuan product collaboratively developed by XGD and its partners was prominently showcased in the financial services thematic exhibition area, garnering considerable attention from numerous media outlets, businesses, and users present at the event.
At the Huada Electronics booth, a variety of digital yuan hardware wallet products and acceptance terminals developed in collaboration with XGD were displayed. The dual offline wallet application for digital yuan enables support for dual offline payments and receipts, making it ideally suited for commercial scenarios such as supermarkets and retail. The digital yuan acceptance terminals include three key models: the N5, N86, and KD80. Among these, the N86 stands out as a cost-effective industrial-grade mobile smart terminal, boasting exceptional computing power and supporting diverse data collection, making it applicable across various sectors, including dining, retail, transportation, and healthcare.
In the financial services themed exhibition area, Ziguang Guowei, along with its subsidiary Ziguang Tongxin, thoroughly showcased the secure chip ecological industry chain while emphasizing the innovative technological applications of the Super Financial Chip series products. In May of this year, NEXGO, a subsidiary of XGD Group, entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Ziguang Guowei. This partnership aims at complementary strengths and in-depth integration in areas such as digital yuan, smart cities, and joint product development, fostering the incubation and industrialization of digital yuan technological capabilities, new products, and novel models. At this year’s Service Trade Fair, the NEXGO terminal equipped with Ziguang chips, representing the latest achievement of this collaboration, was also showcased.
It is noteworthy that the digital yuan hardware wallets and acceptance terminals showcased at this year's Service Trade Fair are all the result of technological advancements from the Digital Currency Research Institute under XGD. This institute, a research and development division of the XGD Group, has consistently dedicated itself to fostering the evolution of payment technologies in the digital economy era. Its efforts infuse cutting-edge research outcomes and innovative ideas into the group’s diverse array of payment products and services, continually striving to enhance the user experience of XGD's offerings.
Since its establishment, the Digital Currency Research Institute has actively participated in the integration and coordination of digital yuan technical systems and the upgrading of partner terminals. At this stage, it has successfully completed the software upgrades for the acceptance functionality of intelligent payment terminals in pilot regions and the development of card-style wallets. In the future, it aims to support cooperation with more digital yuan operating institutions, facilitating the commercialization of new applications and expanding a variety of secure and convenient payment models as well as innovative practices.
